Automated PVB Laminated Glass Production for Large-Format Output

The Automatic PVB Glass Laminating Line connects the main stages of laminated glass production into an efficient and coordinated workflow. From loading the first glass sheet to unloading the finished laminated glass, the line automates the major handling and processing steps required for PVB glass lamination.

Unlike a conventional laminated glass production line that depends on a separate high-pressure autoclave, this system uses an ALAM autoclave-free PVB glass laminating machine as its final lamination unit. It processes standard PVB interlayer film while reducing the investment, facility requirements and operational complexity associated with traditional autoclave systems.

With standard configurations for glass sizes up to 3700 × 2500 mm or 5200 × 2600 mm, the line is designed for large architectural glass panels and batch production. Automatic PVB Film Feeding and Cutting

The PVB film handling system can accommodate up to six PVB film rolls with a maximum film width of 2600 mm. This enables manufacturers to prepare different PVB film specifications for a wider range of production orders.

During production, the selected PVB interlayer film is fed, laid and cut according to the required glass dimensions. Automating these operations reduces repetitive manual work and helps improve film placement consistency.

Precision Glass Positioning and Assembly

Accurate positioning is essential when producing large laminated glass panels. The automatic positioning system provides a rated positioning accuracy of ±0.2 mm, helping maintain consistent glass alignment before assembly and lamination.

A vacuum suction handling system is used to lift, move and assemble the glass sheets. This reduces direct manual handling of large panels and supports safer, more controlled glass transfer between production stages.

How the Automatic PVB Glass Laminating Line Works

1. Automatic Glass Loading

The glass loading system automatically picks up individual glass sheets and transfers them onto the production line.

2. Glass Washing and Drying

The glass washing machine removes dust, oil and other surface contaminants. The glass is then dried before entering the positioning and assembly sections.

3. Automatic Glass Positioning

The washed glass is accurately positioned to prepare it for PVB film placement and subsequent glass assembly.

4. Automatic Glass Assembly

The vacuum suction handling system lifts and positions the upper glass sheet over the PVB interlayer, completing the glass assembly process.

5. Glass Transfer

The assembled glass panel is automatically transferred to the ALAM glass laminating machine.

6. Autoclave-Free PVB Lamination

Controlled vacuum, heating and conveying processes complete the lamination of the glass and standard PVB interlayer without using a conventional high-pressure autoclave.

7. Automatic Unloading

After lamination, the finished laminated glass is automatically transferred to the unloading section for inspection and subsequent processing.
